Germany Alert is an independent information service.
Its correspondents are principally journalists in Germany, many of whom report for
mainline newspapers, radio and television networks.
Germany Alert began publishing in 1990 as neo-Nazi groups carried out a
rage of pogroms against foreigners in Germany.
The publication attempts
to provide concerned public opinion, the news media and human rights
organizations with the free flow of uncensored facts about
nationalism, anti-Semitism and repression.
Germany Alert is not affiliated with or financed
by any political, religious, corporate, social or cultural organization. It is
independent.
A number of news organizations including BBC
television news, ABC Nightline and the Washington Post have utilized Germany Alert
reports or written about the publication. The Times (London) and
The Telegraph (London) have linked articles to the Germany Alert
web site.
Germany Alert was founded by Berlin-born Jaye Muller, who became concerned
about the media's lack of interest in reporting on revived, frightening German
nationalism.
Germany Alert strongly believes that an overwhelming majority of Germans reject
nationalism, anti-Semitism, racism and xenophobia.
